First Friday - Turners Falls Quiet Fireworks Show
a free community event to enjoy the visuals of fireworks without the accompanying noise. This event is for anyone who could use a quieter Fourth of July, whether you’re a veteran, are sensitive to loud noises, or just love fireworks in any form. It’s a great opportunity to bring your kids and pets too! The event kicks off at 9:00 p.m. with a showing of the Montague Historical Society’s short documentary film “Fourth of July at Turners Falls 1951”. Take a look back at how Turners Falls celebrated the Fourth of July 75 years ago. Hint: speedboats racing up and down Barton’s Cove! At 9:15 p.m., the Quiet Fireworks Show begins. Using the power of LASER projection, fireworks will be displayed in the Shea Theater Alley. No need for earplugs - these fireworks are quiet! Bring some fold-up chairs, settle in, and enjoy the visuals. And stop by to peruse the other great events and offerings happening during First Friday beforehand too! Upcoming LIVE fireworks shows in the area include July 5th for the Greenfield Fireworks and July 25th for the Christmas in July Boat Parade and Fireworks in Barton’s Cove.
