A celebration of 3 record stores within a ¼ mile stretch on Avenue A! Shop, sip, and sing from 4 to 8 p.m. while strolling walkable downtown Turners. Featuring live music, karaoke, and plenty of records to peruse, this is the PERFECT evening for fans of physical media. Part record store, part cozy hi-fi café inspired by the tradition of listening bars. Breakdown Records, 59 Avenue A, is a local record store that moved to Western Mass in June 2019. We buy, sell, and trade CDs, records, DVDs, tapes, video games, equipment, and more! Music Connection, 187 Avenue A, is an independent record store with a massive selection of NEW and PREVIOUSLY-LOVED Vinyl Records, CDs, Cassettes, Movies, vinyl players, and stereo equipment. Dan Becker is a contemporary solo pianist and composer from Western Massachusetts whose music explores the full spectrum of human emotion. Mostly self-taught, he creates deeply personal instrumental works that chronicle his lifelong journey with bipolar disorder, transforming experiences of solitude, hope, struggle, passion, and resilience into expressive piano compositions that invite listeners to reflect on their own lives. The Turners Falls Vinyl Crawl is part of First Friday, an event that brings the downtown community together and highlights the best of Turners Falls. Shops are open late, with live music, restaurant specials, and more! Events occur from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. Supported by RiverCulture and the Mass Cultural Council.
