Nice Work If You Can Get It: A Four Rivers Drama Club Production

The Four Rivers Drama Club proudly presents Nice Work If You Can Get It, a screwball musical comedy of Gershwin tunes set in the Prohibition era of roaring 20’s New York. Summary Jimmy Winter is about to get married for the third–no, wait, fourth time, when he crosses paths with Billie Bendix, the most successful bootlegger in the business. Billie and her partners set their sights on Jimmy’s beach house as the perfect place to stash 400 bottles of gin, but they aren’t anticipating the would-be groom to show up with wedding party in tow. What else for the bootleggers to do but pretend to be hired help and keep everyone out of the cellar? As this madcap farce escalates, Jimmy and Billie band together to maintain the ruse…and realize the biggest risk of all is falling in love. With a soundtrack of Gershwin classics, Nice Work If You Can Get It is a laugh-out-loud crowd pleaser that will have you singing long after the curtain falls.

Hours: Shows will be Friday, March 6th at 7pm and Saturday, March 7th at 2pm and 7pm
