"Worst-Case Collin" Book Event with Rebecca Caprara @ Greenfield Public Library

Join the Greenfield Public Library for this Mass Kids Lit Fest event with Rebecca Caprara, author of Worst-Case Collin, which was a Bank Street College Best Children’s Book of the Year! This poignant middle grade novel in verse follows twelve-year-old Collin who manages his anxiety by mapping out survival plans for any disaster or worst-case scenario. Ever since he lost his mom in a car accident, he’s been journaling about how to overcome things like avalanches, riptides, or even a bad case of halitosis. Can Collin learn to be vulnerable around those he loves, even when he can’t control every possible scenario? Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a journal decorating and writing workshop. She is the author of several acclaimed novels for children and young adults, including Worst-Case Collin, and Spin, which was a 2023 Kirkus Best Young Adult Book of the Year. In addition to writing, she runs a community book club for young readers at an independent bookstore in Massachusetts, and presents hands-on literacy workshops for schools and libraries.
